KIM STETSON has over 26 years of floral experience, including 15 years as head designer and account manager at French Quarter Florist in New Orleans where she worked with Macy's, Saks Fifth Avenue, Tiffany's, the Sheraton, the Hilton, the Hyatt, the Superdome, and many other prominent New Orleans landmarks. She studied under Russell Papania, the American Institute of Floral Designers' (AIFD) top award winner, and Glen Vesh, who has garnered international acclaim. Since moving to the Outer Banks, she has been actively involved in the local wedding industry and
served four terms as President of the 200-member Outer Banks Wedding Association (OBWA).
WES STETSON was born into a family with a long lineage on the Outer Banks. His career as a landscape designer began in 1984, before he moved to New Orleans. It was there that he met Kim, and their relationship took off on both a personal and professional level. Wes worked for French Quarter as the Pool and Sauna Room Designer for the business' major hotel clients. He also honed his design skills by working with Michael Salinas, the visual merchandiser at Saks. When he returned to the Outer Banks with Kim, his creative talents blossomed when they founded Holiday House. Since then, he has been the creative force not only behind many spectacular Outer Banks weddings, but also for events at The Elizabethan Gardens, The Lost Colony, and the annual Outer Banks Wedding Expo, plus, the decor of many private homes of the Outer Banks.
